"Armageddon Surfer Girl, Rock On..."

March 23, 2025

Hello, again. I hope you’re all doing well. On the one hand, Republican members of Congress and a small cadre of galactic-brained Democrats have abdicated their role in government and nullified Article I of the American Constitution. On the other, baseball season is upon us. We are a land of contrasts.

If you want to read the novel I wrote, you can request a free digital copy here, and you can read an excerpt here. Seriously: it's free!

More or less, this blog/newsletter is a collection of various things on my mind and publishes monthly (for now!).

Recently, I’ve been thinking about the particular flavor of American fascism at this moment, the uses and limitations of AI tools, “Crimson Tide,” a relatively obscure power pop singer-songwriter, and more. LFG.

Hello, again. This is a brief missive before I resume regular programming with a post next week. Sometime soon, I intend to publish a novel I've written, titled "A Hell of a Wedding." If you would like a free digital copy — either a Kindle-optimized Word doc or a PDF version — all you have to do is fill out the simple form below and I will send it to you when the book is ready.

Read an excerpt here.

And here's a brief summary:

Tara, a young photographer hired on short notice to shoot a wedding at a Carribbean luxury resort, is shocked to discover her ex is in attendance. Committed to be there for a week, she must navigate her feelings about him, the best man with complicated family dynamics, the unsettlingly intense maid of honor, and others among the wedding party and guests, in order to get through the week with her dignity, sense of self-worth, and reputation intact.

A HELL OF A WEDDING is part romcom, part family drama, and entirely a page-turner that will have you rooting for Tara to find herself, find love, and get the hell off the island.

The short answer for why I'm doing things this way is that I primarily want people to read my story, and, while I can't give away print copies, I do have virtually unlimited capacity to give away digital copies. So, again, please fill out the dead-simple form, and I hope you enjoy reading.
